Provided by AGPA Lebanese news agency said that Israeli forces fired three phosphorus shells in the vicinity of farmers harvesting watermelons near the Mansouri junction in the Tyre district. The agency added that the workers left the fields immediately after the incident, and no injuries were recorded at that specific location.
Separately, Israeli aircraft reportedly conducted strikes on the towns of Hanawieh and Maarka, also in the Tyre district, as stated by reports.
In a related development, the Islamic Health Committee said it retrieved the body of a civilian from the rubble of a home in the town of Qana, which had been struck on Monday. Search operations were still ongoing for additional missing individuals at the site.
Elsewhere in southern Lebanon’s eastern sector, reports indicated that Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the Marjayoun-Halta junction in the Nabatieh district, close to commercial shops that had previously been affected by earlier shelling incidents.
According to reports, the same series of events included the detention of three civilians and injuries to another person during ongoing military activity in the region.
